ABSTRACT:
We report the case of a 45-year-old man with no medical history who was admitted to the emergency department 18 hours after abdominal trauma caused by rifle recoil during a fantasia (tbourida) demonstration. The patient presented with vomiting, hypogastric abdominal pain, and signs of generalized abdominal guarding. Surgical exploration revealed a small bowel perforation, confirmed by the operative image. This case highlights the potential severity of blunt abdominal trauma in a non-military or classic accidental setting, emphasizing the need for rapid management.
